Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. This role will focus on both manual and automation testing, with strong expertise in Selenium, SQL, API testing (including REST APIs). The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of various testing types, including functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing, to ensure high-quality releases. The QA Engineer will collaborate closely with development teams to validate features, build automation suites, and ensure smooth product rollouts.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing features.

• Manual QA testing

• Write, maintain, and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.

• Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve defects in a timely manner.

• Leverage automated testing frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency.

• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.

• Analyse test results, document findings, and communicate issues to the development team.

• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.

• Learn new languages and frameworks used in test automation

Core Technical Skills (Must Have):

• Manual Testing Expertise: Strong knowledge in functional, regression, exploratory, and UAT testing.

• API Testing Tools: Proficiency in Postman or similar tools for RESTful API validation.

• Programming: Fair understanding of Java, OOP concepts, and automation frameworks.

• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with good knowledge of testing fundamentals.

• SQL: Ability to write and execute queries for data validation and database testing.

• Test Management Tools: Experience with Jira, Zephyr, or equivalent.

• Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Familiarity with sprint-based development cycles.

Good to Have Skills:

• Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, etc.).

• Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS or similar.

• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
