Deliverability Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

 

The Deliverability Operations Specialist provides part-time operational support for the Deliverability team, ensuring efficient day-to-day management of customer and system-level deliverability needs. This role is responsible for processing abuse complaints, completing internal data requests, and supporting routine analysis for Customer Success, App Support, and the broader Deliverability organization. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, experience with SQL and spreadsheet tools, and an interest in email deliverability or messaging operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor, triage, and process abuse complaints and escalations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Fulfill internal data and reporting requests from Customer Success Managers and App Support, including dataset retrieval, validation, and delivery in clear, organized formats.
  • Build, update, and maintain recurring and ad hoc deliverability reports for internal stakeholders and customer-facing needs.
  • Assist with analysis of sending behavior, email engagement metrics, and reputation indicators to support broader deliverability initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation, logs, and data workflows related to reporting and abuse management.
  • Collaborate with the Deliverability team to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Support basic scripting or automation tasks (when applicable), such as generating reports or cleaning datasets.
  • Handle sensitive customer data with the highest level of security, confidentiality, and integrity.


 

Core Technical Skills (Must Have)


  • Proficiency in SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or equivalent) with the ability to query, filter, and join large       datasets.
  • Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and data cleaning.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase or Tableau.
  • Basic scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell or similar).
  • Solid understanding of database fundamentals and data hygiene best practices.
  • Ability to manage an operational task queue with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent requests.
  • Nice to have: Python or other programming/scripting experience.


Education and Experience

 

  • 1–3 years of experience in a data operations, technical support, or analytical role.
  • Exposure to email deliverability, messaging systems, or marketing technologies is a plus but not required.
  • Coursework or a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred        but not required.
