Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Python Developer with 1–2 years of experience to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Python development, APIs, and databases, with a passion for learning new technologies and building scalable applications. You will work closely with senior developers in an Agile environment to develop, test, and maintain software solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively in a small Agile (Scrum) development team.
- Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in development and production environments.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Support testing activities and fix defects identified during testing.
- Work with databases to develop and optimize SQL queries.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and frameworks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
- Good understanding of Python programming concepts and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and web services.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Understanding of Git version control.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of Docker.
- Exposure to AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of Redis, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.
- Experience with JIRA or other Atlassian tools.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and XML.
- Exposure to Geo-Spatial technologies or GeoServer.
