Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Junior SDET who is passionate about automating the quality assurance process for software and data services. This role is 100% hands-on and full-time, ideal for someone looking to grow their automation skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The Junior SDET will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks. They will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure test coverage, improve product quality, and accelerate release cycles.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and execute automated test cases for web, API, and backend services across multiple browsers and platforms.
• Convert existing manual test scenarios into automated tests.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and best practices.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate test failures, identify bugs, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Continuously improve test coverage, test effectiveness, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to QA process improvements.
Required Skills:
• 1+ years of experience in Automation testing.
• Basic understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Familiarity with automation tools/frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and tools like Postman or REST Assured for API testing.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have:
• Good understanding of Playwright with hands-on experience for test automation.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
• Strong knowledge of REST API testing using tools like Postman or script-based API automation.
• Exposure to version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with testing in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
