POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Aumni Techworks is looking for SDET(Software Development Engineer in Test) with a strong experience of automation and quality assurance. The person should have an automation mindset and be passionate about building things right the first time. The person should be able to quickly build strong product knowledge and contribute to the end-to-end lifecycle of software development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Develop a strong knowledge of functional domain of the product
● Work closely with product and development teams to clarify requirements and provide feedback on functional requirements
● Design and implement testing framework for unit, integration, and UI testing
● Partner with developers to build and maintain back-end and front-end automation test scripts
● Promote left shift of quality assurance by participating early in development cycle of product development
● Troubleshoot and identify issues in test and production environments
● Build a strong automation mindset in the team to improve quality and reduce time to market of features
● Learn and adopt to the tools and technologies used in the product like AWS, Docker, etc
● Drive quality engineering best practices in the team
● Explore the latest tools/ frameworks available in the market and recommend to the team
REQUIRED SKILLS
● 2+ years of experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java.
● 1+ years of experience in Postman/RestAssured, RESTful services, JSON and HTTP.
● 2+ years of experience of writing clean code using any programming language like Python, Java, etc
● Versioning tool like GIT
● Ability to create integration and UI automation tests and integrate with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins or Github
● Experience of working with other developers to ensure that systems are designed for reliability, performance and testability
● Knowledge of SQL (Any RDBMS)
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Strong automation mindset and excellent team player
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree in information technology, related field or equivalent experience
DESIRED SKILLS (Not Mandatory):
● Exposure of AWS cloud services
● Exposure of containers and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes,ECS etc
● Exposure of DevOps practices
● Exposure of BDD(Behavior Driven Development)
WORK SCHEDULE NOTE:
While this position is scheduled for a traditional Monday – Friday work week, our systems run 24/7/365 and as such, you may be expected to perform out of hours, on-call support on an as needed basis. Additional compensation may be available for working on-call, standby or holiday hours.
