Job Description:
We’re looking for a skilled and driven Data Base Administrator who thrives in a data-rich environment. You will focus on managing and optimizing our existing data ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on SQL development for Oracle, BigQuery, and Tableau data sources, alongside NoSQL with MongoDB. You will also contribute to our Lakehouse development and will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy while supporting the scalability of our data infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
●Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for Tableau data sources, ensuring efficient and accurate data delivery.
● Write and optimize complex queries for Oracle and BigQuery databases to support business reporting needs.
● Develop, maintain and enhance existing ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data is ingested, transformed, and delivered efficiently.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in data workflows.
● Participate in early development efforts related to Lakehouse architecture initiatives.
● Assist in preparing existing data workflows for integration with modern cloud-based data platforms.
● Perform thorough data validation and reconciliation to ensure consistency across different data sources.
● Identify and resolve discrepancies by working closely with data analysts and business stakeholders.
Requirement:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
● 5+ years of experience working with SQL and managing data pipelines.
● Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in Oracle and Big Query databases.
● Experience querying MongoDB, including working with semi-structured data.
Technical Skills:
● Advanced SQL skills for query performance tuning and optimization.
● Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and experience optimizing data transformations.
● Experience working with relational (Oracle, BigQuery) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
● Experience with Python or scripting for automation.
● Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
● Advantage: Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau.
