ESSENTIAL DUTIES / FUNCTIONS
● NetSuite Platform Administration: Manage day-to-day NetSuite system health including user access, roles, security controls, data integrity, saved searches, financial reports, and release support to ensure platform stability and compliance.
● NetSuite Development & Customization: Design and build workflow automations using SuiteFlow, develop and maintain custom scripts using SuiteScript 2.x, and customize dashboards, forms, and record layouts to extend NetSuite functionality and meet evolving business requirements.
● NetSuite Functional Support & Enablement: Provide responsive support to end-users and administrators, identify and implement business process improvements, lead training and onboarding sessions, and monitor system usage to proactively surface optimization opportunities. Conduct periodic training sessions and serve as an advisory resource on new platform features and evolving reporting needs.
● Salesforce Administration & Operations: Administer Salesforce including user onboarding and offboarding (with system walkthroughs and light training), data cleanup, permission management, field and layout modifications, bulk data updates, and release-related updates to ensure a reliable, well-governed platform.
● Salesforce Development & Advanced Configuration: Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions including custom objects, Flow automations, Apex triggers, validation rules, and system-level formulas to support complex business logic and evolving operational needs.
● Systems Integration: Configure and maintain integrations between NetSuite, Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and other SaaS platforms (e.g., Pylon, Opine, ERP/CRM systems) to ensure seamless data flow and operational continuity across the business.
● AI-Augmented Productivity: Leverage approved AI tools to streamline system configurations, automate repetitive administrative tasks, and enhance the quality of documentation, reporting, and analysis across both platforms.
● Ticket & Project Management: Own the intake, prioritization, and documentation of system requests from stakeholders across the business, maintaining transparency on project status and timelines.
● Governance & Release Management: Manage deployment processes, release cycles, and platform governance standards for both NetSuite and Salesforce. Stay current on platform releases and emerging AI capabilities to recommend improvements and drive continuous innovation.
● Quality & Oversight: Maintain “human-in-the-loop” accountability by rigorously vetting all configurations, automation outputs, integration behaviors, and AI-generated content for accuracy, security, and compliance.
● Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and document opportunities to optimize processes and system configurations. Propose new tools, methods, or approaches to improve platform effectiveness and departmental efficiency.
● Compliance: Conduct all business in accordance with MessageGears’ policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
● Domain Expertise — NetSuite: 3+ years of hands-on NetSuite administration including SuiteFlow workflow automation and SuiteScript 2.x development, with deep knowledge of saved searches, financial reporting, role/permission management, and release management.
● Domain Expertise — Salesforce: 3+ years of Salesforce administration and development experience including custom objects, Flow, Apex triggers, validation rules, SOQL, and experience with Salesforce Service Cloud.
● Systems Integration: Proven experience designing and maintaining integrations between business-critical SaaS platforms using REST/SOAP APIs or middleware solutions.
● AI Literacy: Familiarity with prompt engineering to refine and improve AI tool outputs, and a strong understanding of AI ethics and security — including how to protect proprietary data and appropriately verify AI-generated content before use.
● Deployment & Governance: Experience managing Salesforce and/or NetSuite release cycles, deployment tools, and platform health and security standards.
● Problem Solving: Ability to evaluate complex, multi-system issues and exercise sound judgment in selecting solutions that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
● Communication: Strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable communications for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
● Documentation: Disciplined approach to documenting configurations, processes, integrations, and decisions so others can follow and systems can be maintained.
● Adaptability: A growth mindset with the ability to quickly pivot as new Salesforce/NetSuite releases and business priorities emerge.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
● Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in business systems administration with demonstrated expertise in both NetSuite and Salesforce.
